Next Event: Outdoor Church

August 17th, 10 am: Mark your calendars and join us as we enjoy church in the outdoors at Silver Falls State Park.
You will enjoy hiking around the falls in the afternoon, so be prepared to stay all day.

Outdoor Church at Evergreen Shelter in Silver Falls State Park on August 17th! The Evergreen shelter (marked E on Day Use Area map) is located in the South Falls Day Use Area. From the parking lot, cross over the river on a bridge to join us at 10AM.  A short path from here will take you to the South Falls viewpoint. South Falls is a 177-foot tall waterfall, with a trail behind the lower falls. Go upstream to access the swimming area and playground. No lifeguards in the park. Consider discovering the park in the afternoon with a nature walk. The Trail of Ten Falls is about a 7 mile loop moderately difficult hike. Gates to the Day Use open at 7am and close at 9pm.
Parking passes are required.  Prepaid day-use parking passes are available by submitting a request on the sign up sheet, due by August 10th. Passes can also be purchased the day of, at a kiosk in the parking lot. If you would like to have a pass purchased for you in advance, see the Sign-up sheet in the foyer or leave a message with the church secretary @ church phone number.
Dog owners: Dogs are allowed to the South Falls viewpoint, but not down the Canyon Trail or Trail of Ten Falls except the Rim Trail and Upper North Falls. There is an off-leash area nearby the Evergreen Shelter and 35 miles of backcountry trails on-leash for their use.
