1 John 4:7-8 and Acts 1:8
“Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.”
“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”
When we look at the Christian experience, we see that it is God who first loved us – “While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” – That is the depth and breadth of the love the Triune God has for His created ones. So the foundation of our faith Is based on who God is and the character of Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer, the Rock of our Salvation.
