Psalm 100
“Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing. Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.”
Ellen White, Our Higher Calling (compilation), p. 10
“If we praised God’s holy name as we should, the flame of love would be kindled in many hearts…. The praise of God should continually be in our hearts and on our lips. This is the very best way to resist the temptation to indulge in idle, frivolous conversation.
The Lord would have us look up, and be grateful to Him that there is a heaven…. Let us grasp by living faith the rich promises of God, and be thankful from morning till night.”
